TYKERB (Lapatinib)-250mg
Tykerb (Lapatinib) is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, a HER2 inhibitor that works by interfering with HER2-related kinases inside the cell, limiting the amount of energy breast cancer cells have to grow and multiply.
It is indicated in combination with capecitabine for the treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic breast cancer whose tumors overexpress human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) and who have received prior therapy including an anthracycline, a taxane, and trastuzumab. Lapatinib is usually taken in combination with other treatments such as chemotherapy or hormone therapy.
