AMGEN PROLIA (Denosumab Solution) is a monoclonal antibody antiresorptive RANK Ligand inhibitor that blocks the production of osteoclasts, which decreases bone resorption and increases bone mass. This, in turn, slows down the bone breakdown process.
It is a medicine used in the treatment of osteoporosis (a disease of the bones that causes loss of bone strength—leads to an increased risk of fractures,) in postmenopausal women and in men at increased risk of fractures. It makes the bones strong and reduces the risk of fractures.
