FASAB (Capecitabine)-500mg

FASAB (Capecitabine), an oral fluoropyrimidine, anti-cancer (“antineoplastic” or “cytotoxic”) chemotherapy drug. Capecitabine is also classified as an “antimetabolite.” The body changes capecitabine into a common chemotherapy drug called fluorouracil. It stops cells from making and repairing DNA. Cancer cells need to make and repair DNA so they can grow and multiply. Only after being absorbed by the body is it changed into an active anti-cancer medicine (more in tumor tissue than in normal tissue).
