MEROPENEM-1mg

Meropenem is a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic. It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Meropenem exerts its action by penetrating bacterial cells readily and interfering with the synthesis of vital cell wall components, which leads to cell death.

• Complicated skin and skin structure infections (adult patients and pediatric patients 3 months of age and older only).
• Complicated intra-abdominal infections (adult and pediatric patients).
  Bacterial meningitis (pediatric patients 3 months of age and older only).
• severe infections of the skin, lungs, stomach, urinary tract, blood, and brain (eg. meningitis). It works by killing the bacteria that cause these problems. However, it will not treat a viral infection.
