TAURITMO (Midostaurin)-25mg
Midostaurin his medication is classified as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, more specifically an FLT3 inhibitor. FLT3 is a tyrosine kinase that can stimulate leukemic cell production. By binding to these receptors midostaurin blocks an important pathway that promotes cell division and causes death to leukemic cells.
TAURITMO is used to treat certain types of blood cell cancer (acute myeloid leukemia-AML, mast cell leukemia-MCL) or an immune system disorder (mastocytosis). It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells and certain immune system cells (mast cells).
