TRAJENTA DUO (Linagliptin & Metformin Hydrochloride)

TRAJENTA DUO contains two active substances, Linagliptin, and Metformin; a combination of two medicines that control high blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Linagliptin belongs to a class of medicines called DPP-4 inhibitors (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors).
Metformin belongs to a class of medicines called biguanides.
Together they help prevent serious complications of diabetes such as kidney damage and blindness and may reduce your chance of having a heart attack or stroke.
Along with diet and exercise, this medicine helps to improve the levels and effects of insulin after a meal and lowers the amount of sugar made by the body
It can be used alone or with certain other medicines for diabetes like Sulphonylurea, insulin, or Empagliflozin.
