ASUNRA (Deferasirox)-400mg

ASUNRA (Deferasirox) is an iron chelating agent which helps remove the excess iron from the body (also called iron overload) and reduce the risk of it causing organ damage, which can lead to conditions such as cancer, irregular heartbeat and cirrhosis of the liver. It traps and removes excess iron which is then excreted mainly in the stools.

Deferasirox is used in the treatment of iron overload caused by frequent blood transfusion and transfusion dependent thalassemia.
