ELAXIM 40 is a thrombolytic medication. It works by dissolving the harmful blood clots in the blood vessels. This restores the blood flow to the affected tissue, thereby preventing tissue death and improving outcomes
Derived from an enzyme, a tissue plasminogen activator, Tenecteplase combines to fibrin rich clots through finger look-alike fibronectin domain and also Kringle 2 domain. The protease domain divides the Arg/VAL bonds within the plasminogen to form plasmin.
It is used in the emergency treatment of heart attack.
